Great News from Tricia Casa Santa to our Prayer Warriors

The tumor has shrunk 30% which is categorized as a good response from the medication. All lab results are normal. The CT scan was done 2.5 months after beginning the medication to ensure that my tumor was not one of the minority cases in which the tumor does not shrink. I have now graduated to appointments for lab work and meetings with the medical oncologist every 6 weeks to ensure that I continue to tolerate the imatanib mesylate well. The next appointment is Tuesday, 26/Jul at 2:00 for lab and 3:00 for Dr. Keedy. The next scan will be in 6 months, early-to-mid December.
