We also need committee chairs to do the following work:

Programs (lining up our monthly speakers)

Spiritual Life (leading all spiritual activities)

Publicity (handling all PR and social media)

Hospitality (welcoming people at meetings; sending birthday cards to members)

Social Outreach (organizing charitable contributions and volunteer activities)

If you have any interest in serving, please contact Claudia Weber by year-end at claudiaweber1946@gmail.com. She welcomes the opportunity to talk with all of you who might be interested in serving alongside her in the next two years!

A slate of proposed leaders needs to be approved by the current Board on February 5. The NCBWL members will then vote on the approved slate of leaders at the March 15 monthly meeting.

In Memoriam

We offer prayers for the eternal repose of the souls of two of our members who had passed away. Sadly, most of us didn’t have an opportunity to get to know them very well. May God bless the loving family they left behind and lives they touched during their time on earth.

LEARN MORE ABOUT NCBWL

The Nashville Catholic Business Women's League (NCBWL) is a non-profit organization open to all Catholic women in the Diocese of Nashville. In addition to supporting one another spiritually, we support our Catholic community by providing scholarships to young women attending the three Catholic high schools in Nashville. For many years, we have raised funds through our only major event Pearls of Wisdom, where women gather in September for a festive Luncheon, Fashion Show, and Auction.

Our mission is:
• To empower members and other women through the sharing of our resources;
• To stimulate interaction among Catholic women of all ages;
• To strengthen and encourage members and all women of all ages;
• To support through prayer, example and work, the improvement of life for women; and
• To promote and perpetuate Catholic education.

Our Mission

The Nashville Catholic Business Women’s League (NCBWL) is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2020. It is the oldest business organization in the Diocese of Nashville. The NCBWL began with a small group of Catholic women, primarily teachers and nurses, in 1950 and today has grown to include more than 100 active members who fund scholarships to all three Catholic high schools in the city.

 “As we enter our 70th year, it’s time to honor our organization’s rich heritage,” said Teri Gordon, past-president of the NCBWL (2019-2020). “We were formed by like-minded women and we continue to help Catholic businesswomen connect, network and grow both professionally and spiritually.”

NCBWL CELEBRATES 70 YEARS
