About the Event

Rebecca Hammel, the new Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Nashville, will join us Wednesday, March 20th, as our guest speaker.

Native of Indiana, Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana State University and a master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Butler University. She is nearing completion of her work toward a doctorate in Catholic education leadership and policy from the Catholic University of America. Rebecca began her teaching career with the Sisters of Providence who taught her in her elementary years. However, she moved quickly from teaching in the classroom to administration. For the last 5 years, Rebecca has been the associate superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. She has built successful enrollment and retention strategies, school finance optimization and student performance analytics in the archdiocese’s 18 schools. Rebecca’s is excited to build the marketing strategies, curriculum and enrollment of the Nashville Catholic schools.

We will be donating PULL TAB canned goods to the Ladies of Charity for our March Outreach Opportunity.

The Ladies of Charity Emergency Assistance Office are in need of canned goods with pull tabs to give out to the homeless people who drop by for snack bags.

The most useful items are Vienna sausages, chili, soups with meat and individual fruit cups.

Please bring your donations to the March meeting.
