About the Event
Father Dan Reehil will be our speaker, talking about his pilgrimage to Medjugorje during which he experienced a deep conversion at the hands of Our Lady, Queen of Peace.
Father Dan Reehil is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Nashville ordained on July 26, 2014. He was born in Manhasset, New York, on the memorial of St. John Vianney. He is the first of four children to Dan and Gladys Reehil. He developed a love for Our Lady early in life, and that grew as he attended High School and the University of Dayton, both of which are operated by the Marianist Community.
After years of working in the corporate world of banking, finance, marketing and corporate communicates, Father Reehil felt a sense of unrest with the secular lifestyle he was living in Manhattan. During a pilgrimage to Medjugorje he experienced a deep conversion at the hands of Our Lady, Queen of Peace. After 18 months of prayer, God revealed his plans for him. He resigned from his position from a major corporate communications firm and moved to Boston to pursue his newly found vocation. He entered Holy Apostles Seminary in August of 2002. In September of 2005, Father Reehil entered the community of the Intercessors of the Lamb where he remained for five years. Father Mark Nolte, past pastor of St. Edward was also an Intercessor of the Lamb religious and they meet there, becoming fast friends while living in Omaha.
Father Dan returned to the seminary to complete his studies and was encouraged by Father Nolte to meet Bishop Choby in Nashville, where he applied to be a seminarian for the Diocese of Nashville and completed his studies for the diocese in 2013. Father Reehil was the associate pastor at St. Edward for two years and became our pastor in July 2016 when Father Nolte returned to the Diocese of Omaha.
