Endowment Completed at St. Cecilia Academy in 2006

The Aurelia Varallo Mariani Scholarship Endowment Fund at Saint Cecilia Academy has been fully funded by the NCBWL's fundraising efforts.  The endowment was started in 2000 and with the combination of yearly investments and interest earned on principal, the market value of the fund has reached a level where the interest generated each year will fund the scholarship given by the NCBWL at St. Cecilia, without eroding the endowment principal.

The Aurelia Varallo Mariani Scholarship Program

For several years the NCBWL has funded tuition scholarships for deserving young Catholic women in the middle Tennessee area.  The scholarships are named in memory of Aurelia Varallo Mariani, a faithful and loving NCBWL member who graduated from St. Cecilia Academy in 1951.  Her love for her alma mater and for this league continued until her untimely death in 1997.
