About the NCBWL
The NCBWL was formed in 1949 by a small group of young women, who, at the time, were primarily secretaries and saleswomen. Its purpose then was to support, encourage, and promote Catholic women in the workplace and elsewhere. The League continues to evolve and grow to reach a broad audience.
Who are we?
We network, mentor, and raise funds for scholarships benefiting local female students.
We are wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends, of all ages.
We have quarterly communions, day trips, fundraisers, retreats, and a Christmas dinner.
We have regular meetings the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the University Club of Nashville on Garland Avenue. Networking with a cash bar begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m., a featured speaker at 7:00 p.m. and the evening closes with a short business meeting.
