The NCBWL was formed in 1949 by a small group of young women, who, at the time, were primarily secretaries and saleswomen. Its purpose then was to support, encourage, and promote Catholic women in the workplace and elsewhere. Heading into the 21st Century, the League has continued to evolve and grow this group to reach a broader audience.
Who are we?
- We network, mentor, and raise funds for scholarships benefiting local female students.
- We are loving and giving women -- wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends, of all ages.
- We are becoming a civic voice in the greater Nashville community.
We have regular meetings the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the University Club of Nashville on Garland Avenue. Networking with a cash bar begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m., a featured speaker at 7:00 p.m. and the evening closes with a short business meeting.
